About the Author

Writing has always been my hobby.  However, I always doubted myself and didn't think I was good enough to be a published author.  After writing my first novel in 2010 the reviews I received from my family and friends who read it gave me the encouragement I needed.  It was then that I realized I had something valuable to share with the world and turned to writing short stories and poems although I never published any of them.

After ten years of writing my first novel and countless other work I felt it was time to make my debut to the world and published my second novel titled:  Second Fridays: Sip & Pain.

It’s incredibly hard work being a new indie author but I have never been more happier than when I sit at my desk putting the opening words to a new book or story on paper.

Black & White
No Gray Area

Black & White No Gray Area introduces you to Nevaeh, an attorney trying to live out her dreams in the Mecca of Atlanta. In today’s world where the veil of racism is being constantly removed and people of color are still being treated with disrespect and negatively stereotyped Nevaeh finds herself working in a non-melanated law firm where she is often overlooked for her talent as an attorney and passed over due to being a black woman in Corporate America. This becomes increasingly frustrating for her as she desires to work with her own people but despite her networking to align herself with an all-black firm, she keeps being met with one closed door after the other. Her circumstances increase her awareness of her blackness pushing her to become a pro black advocate rooting for everything and everyone black. With the push from her best friend T’Shay and the blessings and prayers of her grandmother, she takes the leap of faith and opens her own law firm. Life for her starts to align with her wishes until she is reminded that she is single without a significant other to share life with. The universe has plans for her and ushers in the man of dreams, Bryce, who checks off all the check boxes on her list except he is white. Bryce is a self-made businessman and despite his upbringing in the south where he was raised to “stick with your own kind” he sees people for who they are and falls for Nevaeh at first glance. Will Nevaeh allow herself to dial back her pro blackness and accept the love offered or will she let the man of her dreams slip away. Will Bryce be able to agree to love on her terms with one rule being, “No one needs to know we are dating.” Can they operate in black and white, or will their relationship settle on the gray lines of confusion?
